RS/24/11/21

Today in form class we were told to reflect about a book or video we've watched during the past few days. Yesterday I read the news article about someone who got stabbed 13 times by a 14 year old.

The man who got stabbed was 22-year-old and he  was cut within the chest, guts and back by his high school murder accused in an quarrel close Paihia at the begin of the year, a court has heard. The young person, presently 15, is on trial within the Tall Court in Whangārei for the kill of Bram Willems within the Distant North on January 7. He was 14 at the time of the passing, and cannot be named due to his age, but has denied the charge.

The jury of eight ladies and four men listened an diagram on Tuesday by Crown prosecutor Michael Smith, who said Willems was wounded 13 times – seven times within the chest and abdomen, and six times within the back and buttocks.

One of the chest wounds fatally pierced his heart, and he died at the scene.

Willems and the youngster had known each other for a couple of weeks, and Willems picked up the then-14-year-old prior within the day, together with a 13-year-old cousin, Smith said. They ceased to purchase liquor, and afterward picked up two more relations of the 14-year-old, matured 15 and 17. At around 10pm, the bunch halted in Kawakawa, where there was “violent verbal aggression”, counting between Willems and the 14-year-old.

Passion Project

For the Passion Project this year I was confused about what to pick for my subject. I finally put my head into one thing: beauty and hairdressing. I went into this topic for about two weeks and I  quit because the people in my group didn't really focus on what we were doing. That's why I decided to go to art.

In art it was really hard looking at all these people with amazing drawings and art works. Not going to lie I was a little bit jealous because of the work that it was Gourses. I wasn't really thinking of what I was going to draw or designs. I keep mixing colours and would paint them over and over again.

I finally made up my mind on what I was going to design for the Passion Project this year.I asked Miss to buy me a white wallpaper so I could use it to paint my artwork. I started by mixing my favourite colour , pink. I mixed pink together until I got a light pink. I used white paint and red paint to form my colors that I want.

I started of my putting white paint the the top of the page, adding a small amount of red color each time.Doing this was fun as I get to work together with one of my favour people. At the start I thought that this artwork was not going to be easy and I also thought It was going to be frustrating. But at the end of the I managed to get my work done which is really a surprising.

Reflection Section

Today in Wananga we were been told to write about reflection section, I had a hard time thinking about this but finally came out with and idea to write about what we did in English today.

Today I woke up and I  went to my Dental Appointment right after my mom drove me to school , I came and sit down in my English classroom and I opened my chromebook to do my work.Just to find out its on 5%. So I spend nearly 10mins figuring out if I should take my chromebook to barry to charge and ill use my book or to get the charger from one of my friends sister who is also my friend.I couldn't make up and was doing nothing and Mr told me to write as much as I can with how much battery I have.

Idecided to write about Moana because thats on of the topic that was picked for us to write about. The reason why I choose to write about Moana is because i've watch that movie so many times cause of my little sister. Moana is a really good movie for kids , It lighten up the kids with how creative they are.

Who is Moana?Moana is the daughter of Chief Tui and Sina, with an inherited love for the seas and voyaging. When her island becomes endangered by a life-killing darkness, Moana is chosen by the ocean to journey across the sea and save the world—with the help of the shape-shifting demigod Maui.

Reflection Section

Today for the reflection section we had to read an article from google and write about it , as our reflection section works for wananga.Today about 9:50am there were three people tested positive for covid 19 in waikato.According to the ministry, two of the three household members attend Mangatangi school on the Hauraki Plains. All of the three cases have been moved to a quarantine facility. I think that it is a good idea that the community provides us masks and hand sanitizer so we can use it to help us provide cases. What could we do to help our people to not catch the cases of coronavirus?

Well as you all really know the community has provided masks and hand sanitizer to help with the sickness. The doctors have came up with vaccine, vaccine is  A preparation that is used to stimulate the body's immune response against diseases.Which helps a lot, So I think that the world is doing their best with trying to protect our people from the coronavirus escape play are old grapratent we dont want them to die.So I think that the world is doing the best

Mother and Son

 Mother & Son

Today in Wanga I took probably 30 mins to find an article from google and write about it as our reflection section on fridays. So this is what I've found and decided to write about. This happens today ,Friday 13 August around 11:33 in the morning.

A Mother fed her son with milk with a toxic concoction and gave it to her young child while he was in hospital. The woman admitted that she was mixing eye drops and nasal spray with milk ,through a feeding tube before giving it to her son. She gave one at Dunedin hospital then at starship student hospital.

This really affected her son so badly that he suffered brain damage and had to be put in an induced coma. The father said initially fell under suspicion from authorities.

Dawn Raids 1970

 Dawn Raids - 1970

On Monday August 2021 the prime minister, Jacinda Ardern, said the time had come to deliver an apology for the dawn raids, when officials would target people believed to have overstayed their visas purely on the basis of their ethnicity.

The dawn raids period is a defining one in New Zealand’s history,Ardern said. To this day Pacific communities face prejudices and stereotypes. An apology can never reduce what happened, or undo the decades of disadvantage experienced as a result, but it can contribute to healing for Pacific peoples.

To accept Jacinda's apology , she was covered by a symbolic request for forgiveness during the apology ceremony.Once you are covered in the tapa cloth you are not allowed to move anywhere , you might even have to go days and months without eating or drinking . Until whoever you're apologizing accepts your apology.

Everything that Simon Sinek explained in the little clipo was 100 percent true. He was explaining how why were so addicted to social media and how social media can affects your mind and learning. One good fact that Mr Sinek said that we should charge our phone in the living room at night time so when we wake up we don't get up and check our social media, but he also point out why we need our phone at night so we don't miss our alarms for school , work or whatever things you need to get down. But then Simon said we can go  out and buy an alarm so that way we don't have to check your phone in the morning and.

Mr Sinek saids that how social media affects your life is that when you put your phone down during a meeting but you keep checking it because someone might message you so you dont put your full attention to what's going on in life you put your attention toward you phone and social media…… to be continued
