Aim - To dissect a cow's eye and look at the different parts of they eye.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Reflection/ Refraction
Reflection light reflected normal same incidence When ________Light____ hits a mirror, the angle at which it hits is the ___same________ as the angle at which it is _____reflected_______. Scientists called this the Law of Reflection. In correct science terms, the Reflection Law states that the angle of _____Reflection________ is equal to the angle of _____incidence________ when measured from the ____normal_____________.

Energy Transformation Experiment
1.Chemical + Electrical = A Phone
2. Light + Chemical = Flashlight
3.Kinetic + Light = Car
Aim: To make a marsgmallow shooter that transfroms energy
Equipment :
1.Platic Cup
2.Marshmallow
3.Tape
4.Balloon
5.Scissor
Method:
1.Cut a hole in the bottom of the cup
2.Insert the balloon at the bottom
3.Then tape it around the balloon
4.Tie the ballon after that
5.Put the marshmallow in
6. Shoot your shot
Conclusion:I didnt get to do anything because I went student reception and when I got back its time to pack up.

Energy
Definition: Stored in an object, the ability to move something.
Diffrent kinds of energy.
- Light energy = The energy of the electromagnetic waves. Found in all Micowaves , Xrays and visble light. (flash light , candle)
- Heat enery = caused by the movement of particles. Found in all hot objects ( solar system , Heat energy)
-Sound energy = Energy produced by vibrating objects. Examples are speech, ultrasound and music. ( solar , wind)
-Chemical potential energy = Energy stored in the bonds between particales. found in substances petrol and food. ( food , batteries)
-Electrical energy = the movement of electrically charge particles. found in wires generators and lighting.(Direct current , lighting)
-Gravitational potential energy = Energy stored in objects due to their height above the ground. (Airplan , Rocket)
-Kinetic energy = Energy due to the motion of an object. eg. moving cars, running, swimming
-Elastic pontentail energy = Energy stored in stretched or sqauashed objects. Examples are springs and rubber bands.

Cheese puffs
2 cups of flower
6 T baking powder
4 cups cheese - grated
2 eggs
1 cup of milk
Cayenne pepper - pinch
Method:
Sift flour and baking powder into a large bowl
Add grated cheese and mix lightly with a fork
Put eggs in to a small bowl and whisk
Add milk and whisk again
Combine both wet and dry ingredients together. But, Don't over mix
Put even sizes spoonful of the mixture onto a baking paper on 2 trays
Put oven on fan bake at 200 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes
Check if there light and golden and well risen
Today in food we made cheese puffs. I was a bit late to class so I didn't get to see how it was made. Although. I came just in time for putting the mixture in its tray and we waited until its cook. After we waited 10 minutes for it to be crispy golden brown. We took it out. I tried half of it and I didnt like it and I'm assuming its something new that I've taste.Thats why it tasted a bit gross. Even though it tastes a bit gross it still smells very flavourful and mouth watering

Chemical and chaos
Intro : We have been learing about distillation , evaportation , and dilutions.
Evaporatain is when liquid to gas.
Aim: To evaporate cooper sulfate (sulfur oxygen) - ( Blue Liquid )
Hypothsis:
Equipment: copper sulfate solution, 250ml beaker, heat proof mat, evaprorating basin, element
Method:
1. Set up element
2. add 100ml of hot water to the beaker and place on the element.
3.Add copper sulfate to the evaporating basin on top of the beaker.
4.carefully, place the evaporating basin on top of the beaker.
5.Turn on the element to 3
6.Heat the solution until most of the solvent has been evaporated and crystals of solute are forming.
7. Turn off the element - careful not to touch as will be hot for a long time
Solute = Solid
Solvent = Liquid
solution = Mixturez
Oberservations: we saw bubble inside the water
Conclutions: My Hypothsis was right because we saw steam coming out of the water.
Discussion:
Evaluation:
Distillation
Equipment: A solution of saltwater, conical flask, heatproof mat, a delivery tube and bung, Bunsen burner, tripod, gauze mat, retort stand, boss head and clamp, boiling tube.
Method:
1. Set up the equipment as shown in the diagram
2. Add approximately 50ml of saltwater to your conical flask
3.Light your bunsen burner. Open the air hole and gently push the bunsen burner under the tripod
4. Heat the solutions utill most of the solvent has been evaporated.Turn off your bunsen burner.
Hypothsis: I think that the colour of he zero coke will change and there be no sugar left it in.
Rusult: After a while it was bubbling, It turn into a watery liquid and it went through the delivery tube
Discussion:First we had the solutions and it was coke. after that it started to bubble because we heat it. I saw steam going up thats means it's evaporating. The solutions was going through the delivery tube. At the end it turn into clear liquid which mean it was condensed.
Conclution: The protect that we did turn out the way we wanted to turn out whice is was great. At the end it was colour less.

Science
Aim:To test a sample of food to determine whether it contains simple sugars. Testing foods simple complex protein.
Equipment: Bunsen Burner, Test Tube Tong, Benedict's Solutions, A Sample Of Food.
Method:
Milk is not complex.
Protein:
Potato: neg
Apple: neg
Milk: Positive
Egg: Positive
Bread; Neg
Sugar: Neg
Complex Sugar
Simple Sugar
So my conclusion is. I am so surprised that potato didn't have protein. Because obviously milk and egg have protein in it.
